Ultra Slo-mo

The Sony HDC-4800 UHFR 4K Camera, when used with the BPU-4800 processor delivers full 4K Ultra HD images at up to 400P (8x) or Full HD at 800P (16x).

Newly developed Super 35mm Sensor

The HDC-4800's large Super 35mm CMOS sensor takes full advantage of PL mount lenses, plus there is support for B4 lenses via an optional adapter for HD production.  The camera has a motorised dual ND/CC filter that can be operated remotely to adjust exposure to your requirements.

More colour, wider dynamics, greater realism

Thanks to the Super 35mm CMOS sensor and advanced optical system, the HDC-4800 supports the next-generation ITU-R BT.2020 colour gamut, much wider than that used traditionally for TV broadcasting.  Add this to HDR (High Dynamic Range) and your coverage will be vibrant, high contrast and full of realism, adding to the impact and excitement of your director's vision.

HD Cutout

Using powerful in-camera processing, it's possible to cut-out an Ultra High Frame Rate image in Full HD so you can zoom into cropped areas of action and still provide HD coverage.

Great Compatibility

The HDC-4800 joins Sony's celebrated HDC family of Live Production equipment and is compatible with many products including viewfinders, remote control panels, lens adapters and CCUs.
