The Sony DWM-02 is part of the DWX Series digital wireless microphone system. The DWM-02 is a handheld digital wireless microphone that works seamlessly with the Sony range of digital wireless transmitters and receivers with the same frequency range.

Interchangeable head mechanism supports Sony and third party capsules

The Sony DWM-02 features an interchangeable head/capsule mechanism. Sony supplies three microphone heads  the CU-C31, CU-F31 and CU-F32  that allow operators to capture sound depending on their requirements. It also supports third party microphone capsules maximising the flexibility for users.

The Sony DWM-02 microphone is suitable for live stage performances and other events, broadcast studios, halls, and theatre applications

• Compatible with all DWX Series transmitters and receiversPart of the DWX Series digital wireless microphone system, the DWM-02 works seamlessly with Sony digital wireless transmitters, such as the DWT-B01/E, and digital wireless receivers, such as the DWR-R02D and DWR-S02D.
• Transmits high quality digital audioThe digital wireless microphone system transmits and receives high-quality 24-bit/48-kHz digital audio in a specific frequency bandwidth. Using Sony's original WiDIF-HP codec, the system delivers a wide dynamic range of more than 106 dB, a wide frequency response of 20 Hz to 22 kHz, and an excellent transient response.
• Three interchangeable heads and third party supportThe DWM-02  can operate with these three heads.
• The CU-F31 microphone head with dynamic capsule has a super cardioid pick-up and range from 60 Hz to 18 kHz.
• The CU-F32 microphone head with wide dynamic capsule has a wide cardioid pick-up and range from 80 Hz to 18 kHz.
• The CU-C31 microphone head with condenser capsule has a cardioid pick-up and range from 60 Hz to 20 kHz.
• The DVM-02 also supports third party heads.
• Quick open/closed mechanism for microphone headsA robust 31.3mm/pitch 1.0mm threading interchangeable mechanism allows microphone heads to be changed easily and quickly.
• Selectable output powerOutput power selectable between 1/10/50 mW. Chose the minimum power necessary for a venue, lengthening battery life, and reducing the already low possibility of interference. Allows the microphone to work effectively in a very wide range of venues.
• Remote control of transmitter functions from the receiverInput attenuation, RF frequency selection, RF power output, Audio Low-pass cutoff frequency and transmitter Sleep Mode can all be controlled remotely from the digital wireless receiver.
• Secure and stable wireless transmissionThe DWX Series enables highly stable wireless transmission that is extremely tolerant to unwanted interference.
