Samyang VDSLR Kit 5 - Canon EF. A full set of 6 Samyang VDSLR MkII Cine lenses, consisting of 14mm T3.1, 24mm T1.5, 35mm T1.5, 50mm T1.5,85mm T1.5 and 135mm T2.2 lenses. These are supplied as a kit in a custom case, designed and produced in Germany to offer highly durable and reliable protection of the lenses against dust, water, shock and damage.

14mm T3.1

Wide Angle Manual Focus Cine Lens

Samyang Optics 14mm T3.1 VDSLR ED AS IF UMC II is a wide angle manual focus cine lens designed for full frame sensor sizes.

Samyang 14mm T3.1 VDSLR ED AS IF UMC II is carefully designed for professional film and video works so the focus gear ring is installed for the follow focus system. You can change the aperture quickly and smoothly with the uncoupled aperture gear ring. The T number guiding the actual amount of light transmission and distance scales are marked on both sides of the lens to film more precisely. The lens operates in manual aperture system with a low T number which enables natural shooting under various light exposure circumstances.

This lens features 14 lenses in 10 groups including 3 high-refractive and extra low dispersion lenses (HR ED), 1 hybrid aspherical lens (H-ASP) and 1 glass aspherical lens (ASP). H-ASP and ASP lenses minimize colour aberration to realize exceptional image quality and high contrast for center and corner of image even when aperture is fully opened. HR ED lens of 14mm T3.1 VDSLR ED AS IF UMC II effectively controls the light dispersion to prevent flare and ghost. Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) technology of Samyang Optics optimizes the light penetration to also minimize flare and ghost.

50mm T1.5

The Samyang 50mm T1.5 VDSLR manual focus lens can be used in cameras with image size up to Full Frame 35mm. Its Low T-number gives better light gathering power and greater choice when it comes to selecting depth of field. Its optical construction comprises 9 Elements in 6 Groups including an “H-ASP” Hybrid Aspherical and a Glass Aspherical (ASP) element. H-ASP gives exceptional reduction of chromatic aberration and great contrast levels right to the edge of the image, even at wide apertures. The optical surfaces have been treated with Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) to optimise light transmission as well as minimising ghosting and flare, working beneficially with the supplied petal lens hood. The optical arrangement also allows a close focusing of just 45cm.

For cinema use, Samyang VDSLR lenses have an uncoupled aperture and focus gear ring for smooth adjustment such as when using follow focus systems, and distance scale / T-markings are on both sides of the lens for easy reading while pulling focus.

Usability is key to this lens and its body is constructed using a strong aluminium alloy and has an 8-Blade Circular Aperture for smooth and natural looking defocused areas to your images, often referred to as good “bokeh”.

All Samyang VDSLR lenses have the same colour balance and location of gearing teeth to provide consistency and ease of swapping when used as a system.

135mm T2.2

The Samyang 135mm features a floating type design, one extra low dispersion lens element (ED) for maximum optical performance. A circular aperture of T2.2 with 9 blades offer great bokeh for close head and shoulder portrait work, and short telephoto. To ensure high contrast and faithful colour reproduction, all lens elements have been covered with Samyang's multi-layered UMC anti-reflective coatings. The design and lens coatings offer impressively low chromatic aberrations, ghosting and flare.

Manual Focus Telephoto Cine Lens
