The Stereo Cyclone
Stereo Cyclone MS Kit 17 featuring MZL connections (2x MZL and 1x XLR5M) for Sennheiser MKH 8030 with MKH 8040 / MKH 8050 (for use without mic pre-amps).
The Cyclone is the result of more than a decade of continuous development. Our design and engineering teams have focused on each component to build an all-new windshield system from the ground up.
Designed and optimised for the Sennheiser MKH8030 with MKH 8040 or MKH 8050 and featuring a compact Z-lock basket design with 3D-Tex® material, the industry-leading Stereo Cyclone offers remarkable acoustic transparency and supreme wind suppression (up to -50dB).
All of Rycote’s Stereo Cyclone windshield kits are individually meticulously hand-built in the company’s factory in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, using a highly specialised manufacturing process is carried-out by a highly-skilled Rycote technician.
Since the launch of Rycote’s popular flagship windshield kit, the Cyclone –customers have been asking for stereo versions. As a result of intensive and detailed product development, Rycote now offers a comprehensive range of professional Stereo Cyclone Windshield Kits, designed for popular stereo techniques, such as X/Y, Mid-Side and Double Mid-Side. As well as models designed for single mic and Ambisonic mic applications.
