FreeStyle T44 LED DMX System, Univ (Includes 4 x FS-48)

Kino Flo® Lighting Systems’ True Match® FreeStyle LED tubes are specially designed for operation in FreeStyle T44 & T24 fixtures for film production or stage design lighting. The FreeStyle LED tubes display Kino Flo’s True Match white light and RGBWW color management system found in Kino Flo’s LED lighting fixtures. The tubes are 4ft (1.2m) & 2ft (0.6m). On camera, FreeStyle LED tubes photograph with the same softness, the same subtle color reproduction as Kino Flo’s award-winning T12 high-output lamps. In addition to high color rendering, cinematographers will see the difference the 310° LED tube makes when operated in a fixture or out of the fixture as a remote “sabre” of light. Paired with the FreeStyle fixture and light intensifying reflector, the tube projects soft light forward at a 100° beam angle at about the same light levels you’d get from a 1000W tungsten softlight.

The FreeStyle T44/T24 LED System (SYS-FT44U/SYS-FT24U) consists of: FreeStyle T44/T24 LED Fixture plus 4 x FS-48 LED Tubes or 4 x FS-24 LED Tubes, Mounting Plate, FreeStyle 140X LED DMX Controller, and Extension Cable.

It was designed in this manner to allow the greatest flexibility in lighting solutions for challenging situations.

Modular Design

The FreeStyle T44/T24 Fixture houses the tubes and is comprised of built-in barndoors, a Louver, Reflector and Tube Harness. The Louver and Reflector are held in place with Velcro fasteners.

There is a strain relief on the tube Harness to ensure the connectors don’t pull off the tubes during operation. To get the harness away from the fixture, turn the 1/4 turn fastener and rotate counter-clockwise to release.

FreeStyle T44/T24 Fixture can be used in different configurations:

1. Complete fixture with all components combined.
2. “Harness Only” – The wiring harness is removed from the fixture so that the user can build a softbox, hide behind Plexiglass or rig into tight locations. The wiring harness uses Kino Flo designed Tube connectors so tubes can be operated independently of the fixture.
3. Can use Louver to give direction to the light or remove louver to give broad coverage over an area, such as lighting blue and green screens etc.

Kino Flo tubes can operate inside the fixture or independently with only the wiring harness.

DMX Controller

The firmware is loaded onto the FreeStyle LED controller and can operate the Freestyle T44 & T24 fixtures remotely with a 25ft extension cable. The Freestyle controller (LED-140X), includes standard DMX in/out ports for cable as well as wireless DMX connectivity (Lumen Radio®). The controller features universal AC voltage input 100-240vac (1.25 Amps at 120vac) as well as a 3-Pin XLR for 24vdc operation (6.25A).

The FreeStyle 140 LED DMX controller firmware is updatable from a PC using the Mini B USB data port.
