Formatt Hitech Firecrest Ultra Cine Superslim 4x5.65 IRND filters are designed for the all those times when you need a cinema camera setup with minimum weight, whether that’s to fly on a drone, Steadicam, gimbal, or just to lighten the load on your back when you have to carry your own kit. They are the lightest possible 4x5.65 cinema grade glass filter , weighing in at around half of an equivalent standard thickness 4mm ND filter, while maintaining the same excellent neutrality and optical quality that Firecrest filters have become renowned for.

This makes them the perfect solution to marry with ultra-lightweight matte boxes like the Bright Tangerine Misfit Atom. For ARRI standard matteboxes a dedicated 2mm filter tray from Formatt is available. This will allow the filters to be used in most Bright Tangerine, Chroziel, Wooden Camera and ARRI matteboxes.

 

Firecrest Performance For Less

Cine Superslim filters are half the thickness and weight of a traditional 4mm cinema filter. This allows you to use the same Firecrest IRND filter technology used on countless major feature films and commercials for more than half the cost of the traditional 4mm Cine Firecrest Ultra filters.

2mm Superslim Tray

Our custom Firecrest Superslim 2mm 4x5.65 Tray allows you to adapt the Superslim filters to any Arri standard width 4x5.65 matte box tray. The Superslim Tray allows you to use the Superslim filters with common matte box brands like Bright Tangerine, Arri, Chrosziel and others.

Lightweight

Trim weight off your rig. No tray required for matte boxes with clamp style filter holders like the Bright Tangerine Misfit Atom.

Firecrest 100mm Holder Compatible

Switch from matte box set ups for your larger glass to lightweight photography based set ups with ease. Our Firecrest 100mm MKII holder allows you to adapt 4x5.65 Cine Superslim filters to threaded photography and cinema lenses from 86mm to 37mm screw-in sizes. The MKII holder includes a geared rotating 86mm circular polarizer for ultimate flexibility when using smaller lenses.
