IBC 2019: 3 Things to See!
IBC 2019 is launching this Friday and we can’t be more excited! The World's Most Influential Media, Entertainment & Technology Show returns to RAI Amsterdam on the 13th September with a myriad of brands presenting all kinds of new products. From new cameras getting launched to products already announced and being demoed, it is hard to know where to look. Here is a list of 3 things to watch out for at IBC 2019.
New Sony Camera (??)
No secret that Sony will launch a camera or two at IBC. However, we can’t tell you much about them until 8:30 BST Friday 13th September, Sorry! Meanwhile, it is interesting to see the leaks and guesses on the internet. Rumours about names, product lines and specs are whizzing all around. It should be noted though nothing has been confirmed yet and the official announcement will be at IBC. We aim to give a summary Friday morning with details later in the day – so make sure to follow our social media and newsletters! We will also accept pre-orders online and in the office.
Canon C500 mark II
Canon recently unveiled a first look at their new C500 mark II model. Packed with the same sensor as the C700 FF, the C500 mark II films in 3 modes: Full-frame, Super 35, and Super 16. The price seems a bit heavy and whoever decided to call it a C500 mark II has a weird sense of humour. Not feeling this camera if you hadn’t noticed. Panasonic S1H
We are expecting a closer look at the Lumix S1H by Panasonic. The latest in the S Series, the S1H (£3,599) will hit the market shortly after IBC 2019. Only 24P in 6K 3:2 and 30P in 5.9K 16:9 are a bit restrictive, but at this price point it's perfectly acceptable. The new low cost 6K Mirrorless market might be hotting up, but Panasonic still have the pedigree.
